Program Description

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute was established in 1824 as the first technological university in the U.S. The scientific and technical themes include biotechnology, energy security, information technology, and nanotechnology. RPI has developed relationships with hundreds of their academic colleagues, national funding institutions, diverse federal laboratories, and more than 200 industrial affiliates on specialized projects.
