The Department of Energy announced 24 million hours of supercomputing time have been awarded to help develop lithium-air batteries. New York companies and researchers, through NYSTAR, also can gain access to supercomputing time on two of the world's fastest systems at Brookhaven National Lab/Stony Brook and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
